I heard the voice of dalail from far away
I remember one time in our study room, in Paloh, Lhokseumawe.
We are childrens, sitting on the floor of the mosque’s front hall
singging the shalawat and dhikr
Here, Sheikh Ghazali heard a voice from Sudan,
a boy from Aceh teach the Quran for kids.
The Quran is the past
is in the present
is in the future
Time will not return,
But our memories will always be there
Those memories won’t always be available
but our history, will remain eternal.
